Bayonet and Black Horse Wedding

Amongst the mature stands of oak and cypress and above gorgeous Monterey Bay, Nick and Laura finally exchanged their vows and said their “I do’s” at the Bayonet and Black Horse Golf Course. The lush greens and fresh ocean breeze were a gorgeous back drop for this very special big day!

We had photographed Nick and Laura’s engagement session back in 2019. They were planning their big day for 2020, then the pandemic hit the world and like so many others they rescheduled their wedding for 2021. This wasn’t just their wedding day; this was the day they had been waiting for! Been planning then had to replan. This was a big deal! So, when it came to her hair & makeup Aime Gruber, mastermind of Glamology was the perfect fit!

If you are ever in the Carmel-by-the-sea area, you must spend the time to pamper yourself! There are so many unique shops and boutiques! Epiphany Boutique is one of those musts! So many gorgeous gowns, we highly suggest you make an appointment and really enjoy your time being pampered!

For a sweet treat, Nick and Laura went with Dolly Cakes for a variety of cupcakes and of course a classic cake at the top for that traditional cake cutting moment! Now everyone has their opinions on this. What’s your favorite flavor? Tee’s favorite is red velvet and mine, well I think I have fallen in love with anything chocolate and peanut butter. Let us know your favorite!

When looking for a fantastic DJ, we love recommending John Upshaw with Monterey DJ! Seriously! We even hired him for our own wedding! He had everyone out on the dance floor!
