Hakone Estate and Gardens is a beautiful venue in the bay area we had the privilege documenting Brandon & Alex’s intimate garden wedding. Hakone’s authentic Japanese style is a unique artistic and cultural venue you must see! The gardens were originally the private estate for San Francisco philanthropist couple. Having fallen in love with the unique beauty of Japanese gardens, they decided to design their own retreat. They designed the garden after Hakone, a town located in Fuji-Hakone-Izu National Park.

We love every step of Brandon and Alex’s intimate garden wedding! Starting with their details in the­ Zen Garden House to their first look under the wisteria pavilion. Then the exchanging of the vows they wrote to each other!  To saying, “I do” and sealing it with a kiss on the moon bridge.  Finally, exploring the gardens for their photos!

How beautiful are these two?! Brandon & Alex have been through a lot together – especially while wedding planning. While their large celebration on the east coast with all their loved ones will have to wait until next year, these two refused to put their commitment to each other on hold. They held an intimate garden wedding with exchanging vows and sealing their promises with a kiss in Saratoga’s Hakone Garden venue. Together, they can conquer anything! Congratulations you two!
