Garden Wedding | Doctors Kaylee and JD

Doctors JD & Kaylee’s garden wedding at The Perry House Monterey, California was absolutely gorgeous! Romantic colors of white, cream, sage, green and gold are stunning together!

In the words from this sweet couple:

FIRST COMES SCHOOL, THEN COMES MARRIAGE

We met in graduate school! Kaylee was in her second year of her PsyD program and worked as the T.A. for a Statistics class for first year PsyD students. In that class was none other than J.D.! Whenever he had to turn in work to get graded, he would write some quippy line to get Kaylee’s attention. Looks like it worked!

THE PROPOSAL

J.D. and Kaylee were in Fresno for the weekend visiting family. J.D. left to run an errand with his parents and called to say their car broke down. Kaylee, J.D.’s brother Peter, and J.D.’s sister-in-law Nicole all drove to go rescue them. When we arrived to the scene (a local park), J.D. grabbed Kaylee to walk through the grass to a set up picnic! He got down on one knee and asked “Will you marry me?” Kaylee yelled, “Yes, DUH!” After that moment, family and friends popped out from behind bushes and trees where they were hiding the whole time!
